How to attract more users to a website?

I have a website and managed to bring the website name to first few pages of Google. Even though I am trying hard to attract the customers to the website.

The website is just a classifieds site and I've left no stone unturned to promote this website like directories submission, all kind of SEO, adding backlinks, writing articles, posting in various forums, creating facebook apps, Google adsense etc.

All I am looking out for the customers and their posts on my website.

Define "first few pages". Is it like page 3? Also what key word(s) that brings you to that place? do people actually look for the word(s)?

If you are on the first page of google for a word that gets searched say 10k a day, that you can be sure you'll get at least around 1k visitors from the word (over simplified off course).

 

Yes, the site is coming to Google's first 10 pages if you type specific keyword 'Zubera Classifieds'.

 

Hi anurag, you had chosen a wrong keyword. this keyword "zubera classified" is not a generic term nor a popular brand as compared to OLX, Quikr..., its just a website name, by that keyword ofcourse anyone can rank in Top.., but the thing is you need to rank for generic keyword like "Indian Classifieds".., once you start ranking to most generic keywords related to classified segments, then you start seeing traffic to your website and your website name may become a brand...,

so try to rank for generic keywords / organic keywords in order to get traffic to your website...

where to put these keywords and how to make them popular in search engines for my site when there are already thousands of other same keywords pointing to other sites.

I have mentioned many other keywords in my site like online classifieds, free ads site India etc but when search on Google with these keywords, my site doesn't show up.

 

Then why should a visitor visit your website when there are so many websites same as yous and even those are quality and authority websites?? question your self with this one..,
mentioning the keywords doesn't completes your work..., you need to overcome all those websites by developing good backlink profile and content..,

 

If you explore internet then you see that there are so many people who are launching there new site everyday on internet so that they can earn more money from their business. You can put guess that nearly thousand of new pages are added on internet for business dealings. But these sites need more and more customers so that they can run successfully. Every site owner wants that his site should get more and more customers per day and sell the product and services to maximum extent.

I totally agree with him, First you have to analyse your keywords. Keywords which people will search on search engines, Not your website keywords but the keywords which will bring customers to your site.

Add quality content and stop spamming on your website to improve its ranking and traffic. If you want to engage more and more user with your website then it would be beneficial if you will remove Google Ad-scene because it is dragging lot of your traffic to another websites.
