    i need to know about books which can be used to learn about web designing .
    Tough I have knowledge of php and html I somehow want to relearn everything starting from scrap . I have very less knowledge of javascript .
    could you suggest which books to begin with among following , I have limited budget so would like to buy only few :-

    I haven't read any of the ebook list you have given but I have a suggestion. If you are on a budget you can try reading the free ebooks first to get an idea of the basics of the language. I am suggesting you learn basics because it helps building stuff from scrap :)

    I highly recommend HTML, XHTML, and CSS : Visual QuickStart Guide by Elizabeth Castro. I learned HTML, JavaScript & PHP using this series.

    I recently read HTML5 & CSS3 just to brush up and I recommend it if you know nothing on HTML or CSS. It's by Cengage Learning and used as a teaching curriculum.
