    Diversity is the key today: get as many quality backlinks from guest posts on popular blogs, social bookmarks, forum posts (trying to give some useful info to your community, without spamming too much), get as active as you can on social network, make forum profile and social submissions.

    The best strategy of generating quality back-links, is to work more to find worthy articles on different high PR sites..but it doesn't work only the other hands you have to work hard to post worthy and reliable comments over blog's article and in the mean time you have to post worthy article which can attract the attentions of the readers.

    I agree with the person who said that link building is grunt work and is best left to service provider who do that for a living. You would be wasting valuable time doing it yourself. You have to invest in your site. Most of the services are not that expensive.
