    Hi All,

I am putting together a photograph noticeboard webpage which i've been thinking about for awhile.

The idea is to have customers/clients upload a photo/advert to my webpage for a small amount of money, they choose what size and format they'd like to purchase and i go ahead with the upload once the transaction is complete and the customer has provided me with their photo (standard 6x4 ratio landscape/portrait options available)

What is so different about my site? Firstly, there's only a limited amount of photo spaces available so not everyone can have their photos uploaded. The idea is to get the site name spread so i generate alot of traffic to the site making my page much more attractive to customers as they will be guaranteed unique visitors from across the world! Maybe theirs a special photo you'd want the world to see in one place that everyone knows about? Or maybe you are Photographer who'd like to get your name out there by uploading one of your photos and have the photo link back to your portfolio when viewers click on it?

Obvious restrictions for photos apply - i am going through the process of a FAQ, Shopping Cart right now but would like to gather thoughts on how you feel about a site like this and if it would potentially do well?

All critic is welcome, i don't know if im allowed to post my site WIP so i will attach an image for you to get a rough idea of what i'm going for... Photowallfinal.jpg

I think you have an interesting idea although I feel that it will take alot of link building for you to get your website ranked in the keyword you think you will draw alot of traffic from. At the same time I am not sure if someone would really be interested in uploading a photo to your site...are you going to add watermarks for people to prevent from stealing these images? Maybe if you get photography firms to affiliate with you I could see you making alot of money on it. Other than that I think it is a creative idea but still has some bumps to workout. As for the initial design...it looks interesting!

    Thanks

I think that this is actually a really good idea. The problem is going to be the launch, because noone will pay to put their site on a website with no views. Other than that once you get established and have a good amount of traffic I think it is great and I might even pay (no more than a dollar or two) to get some views to my razzi.me pictures

Thanks for the responses, in regards to a few of the questions:
    1) Site is not only for images, but also companies/blogs/websites etc to advertise on.
    2) In terms of photos, they can be watermarked before or after they get to me, but more so the idea is to get customers who would like to upload an image which they know will be well viewed widely in terms of visitors. Maybe you want your image to be more well spread than the likes of say Flickr which can take awhile to get views to. To give you an idea, my images on Flickr can take up to a year before they start getting more than 100views....

My problem will be the initial Launch as mentioned and getting the right crowd to view the site. Here's what my initial plan was....there's 31 image blocks available to advertise/display your photo against, if i was to charge around $1-3 per image (dependant on bloze size purchased) and have that space rented for 1-3months at a time. Once traffic starts to come to the site and it becomes more wide spread, the idea would be to reserve certain blocks as permanent purchases at a much higher cost?

Last question -would it look better to have the images "pinned" to the board via tacks to make or look a little more desirable? or maybe add some more design features?

What are your thoughts, all suggestions are welcome, site is in development stages right now, design is basically near completion though.

Hi all, i have 31 blocks of images/advertising available on my site when it goes live. The idea is to have customers purchase blocks....But for the interim and to get my name out there i have decided that for the first 15 people that want to contribute i will allow them to do so free of charge and i will guarantee that your photo/advert stays on my photoboard for a minimum of 6months. If you would like for me to advertise for you please let me know and i will be in touch. ETA for site to go live is 1-2 weeks but i will make sure your image is displayed when it goes LIVE!

    What i will need:

    1) Image you would like me to display on my website (preferably high resolution and in 6x4 format portrait or landscape) This could be an image of your own, or a company logo, trademark design etc...

    2) Your website you would like me to advertise for you (this is optional - you could if you like just provide me with an image you want shared)

    3) Image size you would like to choose from the above design in the first post, and either in landscape or portrait (I cannot guarantee you will get the size you want...first come first serve basis)

As mentioned, the first 15 members to reply will receive their image on my site for 6months no questions asked.

My first image has been published thanks to Dillon13. Here is a preview of how your image will look on my site when live. I keep to my word, you'll have 6months on here without charge. Any others interested please do PM me. I'm hoping to fill up ~15 images from forum members free of charge. Thanks.

Thanks - When you say always be in your site...how do you mean? Also let me know if you want to be advertised when the site goes live - still have 14 free blocks available for the first 6 months....Thanks
