While my site is only 4 months old I still really struggle to get ANY organic traffic from Bing while getting plenty from google. I have submitted my sitemap to Bing via the webmasters tools and have done it every couple of weeks for the past few months but I am still lucky if I get one visit via Bing. Webmaster tools has 117 of about 125 pages indexed so its not that. I am at a loss can anyone offer any insight. Much appreciated
optimizing your site for google and for bing are not the same. one tip - bing requires constant link building. in other words, they need to keep finding your links on a regular basis to rank your site. if they dont find your link for a while, they forget about you. there are some ways to get ton of backlinks on a regular basis not breaking the bank, not very high quality links but something to get your site ranked high on bing. however, can't really discuss that on a public forum due to obvious reason. long story short, you need to do what you do usually for ranking your site on google but need to do some extra to rank your site on bing.
bing is less popular as compare to Google the parameter of Google should followed if you want to king of your competitors.
If you are much considered about Bing I would like to tell you that unlike Google, Bing believe to keep your major keywords in title and descriptions of the website also it is not true that you should just build back links without concerning where it comes from. It will never be appreciated by any of the search engine just wanted to let you know that Bing believe more in On Page Optimization.
See, you have to be little patient as your website is new and it may take time to rank good and drive traffic. Here’s traffic building tips, - List in niche directories - Submit your RSS feeds to feed directories - Participate in social networking sites and related communities - Post on online forums and niche related communities - Write guest posts for related blogs to your niche. - Do blogging and blog commenting - Create link baits
I guess you have to use Microsoft's Internet Explorer Browser if you're doing SEO stuf.. hahahaha! just kidding .. just do the old fashion way of quality link building mate and slowly you will see your website climb up
