    Not bad tbh. I would seperate the header from the content. As it is the header looks like just another post.

    For a blog, I honestly like the simplicity. A lot of new bloggers try to add too many bells and whistles and it ends up making the site seem complicated and "busy".

    I would add a nice professional logo in the upper left corner by the Home Page icon. There are many designers on DP that can do it.

    Good Part
    - The site colors are good looking
    - Font and text sizes are good

    Improvement areas
    - Not utilizing full area of my screen. Its shriked in center with a lot of space on all sides. May be you designed for only small screens. Consider higher resolution monitor too.
    - Put only one add banner on top, not two

    I like the crisp look of your site. I agree about the 1 banner at the top. Google actually can penalize sites with too much ad space "above the fold" (top section)..Miss Google is getting smarter!!

    I'd also suggest making sure you have your site's meta title and description complete with keyword phrases so Google has a better understanding of what your site is about when indexing. I only see the title as The Driessen post, add more keywords in here.

    Nice blog. I have some feedbacks for you:
    - delete duplicate meta tags: description, content-type,
    - add header image (eg. simple text logo on the left of navigation).
