Meta Description More Important than Meta Titles ?

Hey Guys, Just a quick question here...

I thought that Meta Titles had the most value, but Now often I see people saying that Meta Descriptions are more important than the Title. is it True ?

There is no use of MetaDescriptions. Meta titles are very important as title is the main part of yourwebpage. Your website may work if you have no Meta Descriptions but there is nobenefit of having a website if there is no Meta tag.

 

R u sure, because I used to think the same way, but now a days so many new blog posts and forum discussions are seen, saying that Meta Description is ore important. Thought it doesn't makes any sense.

 

I believe the meta description is what lets you define what will show in the search engine. When you do a search you always see a short description of the site under the link. If you don't set a meta then google will just generate this automatically..but if you create your meta it will use that instead.

As far as I know, the meta description is not used as a ranking factor. Meta titles are so I would say that they are far more important. However people do usually see the meta description as the snippet below your result, so having a good meta description is important to getting a good click-through-rate. Having a good CTR can boost your ranking and it will also help you get the most clicks out of whatever your current ranking is.

 

Both these tags are important and you can see both the Title and Description tags in search results, which says both are of equal importance.

 

Meta Description is not important than Title.

Yes its true because in meta description we can use maximum our url and keywords ..........

 

Both are important in seo, you can use some keywords in title and description.

Both are very important for SEO as both titles and description are both read by search engines. My advise would be to keep them limited to a set amount of keywords and characters as you dont want this to come under as spam.

Also Both the meta title and description do come up when searching for you website within the search engines so is a good way to try and bring people to your site

 

Ofcourse, 100% description and also meta titles also quit important for seo techniques .

Well, Title is slightly more important than description just because user reads the title first. Meta description is read by user in search engine result page after reading title.
Also, there is no guarantee that the meta description which you have written, same will be shown in the search engine result page(it may alter also). Sometimes when you have not written the description, search engines will pick up the relevant content from your website and show it as description.

Both are important but title as said is slightly more important.
