I have added comments to related sites on a daily basis for a few months now, but not really added my site to many directories. Is it really worth adding it to many directories ?And does Adwords up your page ranking ? As I think my newish site is in the sandbox now, visits were 50 a day now between 2 - 4 a day

Would some bulk directory submissions help or would google see it as spam, not normal activity ? I haven't put any ads on any free classifieds yet, thou.

Any cheap SEO / submission / back link (non spammy) I should check out, I was using Social Monkee for a while until the format changed, but not sure who good it was anyway.

Look at other sites that have higher PageRank... why do they? They're providing unique, valuable content that is relevant to what their readers are interested in. That's it. If they have backlinks, it's because they earned them, one at a time from REAL people who felt compelled enough to refer the site. They didn't pay for them. The relevance of the backlinks you have are extremely important.

Focus on your readers FIRST and the search engines SECOND.

 

If I high used highly competitive keywords, should I change them for less competitive or long tailed words to get a better ranking as It is a well known car manufacturer too, so could it be worth not using the full name of the brand in my keywords ?As all the above I do in general, although may need to update my site more. Content seems good.I read of a page ranking tool, anyone know of a good free one ?Thanks
