I don't want any online image editing websites I need software I have adobe Photoshop and Irfan viewer What should i do to process my images for website Please help me
Photoshop will do it the best. 1) Scale your picture to desired size (Image/Image Size...) 2) Press CTRL+SHIFT+ALT+S , this will pop up Save for Web dialog window. There you can easily select file format and set quality checking file size as you go. If you deal with pictures from camera I guess .jpg as a file format will be most suitable in you case.
There's a free software the will bulk resize pictures for you and is pretty easy to use, though needs some learning. It's called EzThumb. It is designed to make bulk thumbnails but I found it's great for doing bulk down-sized images too.
Photoshop not only does a good job of reducing the pixel size but will also optimize the photo by minimizing the metadata embedded in the photo which will reduce the file size. Good idea to reduce the photo size to the actual size you need too.
Photoshop is probably the industry standard for this kind of thing. Probably overkill if it's a one off job. Just use a free photo editing programme. There are a number out there.
I use GIMP (__http://www.gimp.org/ ) for image editing, it is available for free and work best on Linux and Windows and also there is a plugin for batch image resizer(__http://members.ozemail.com.au/~hodsond/dbp.html) to reduce the size, just scale down your image dimension, and save it with lower image quality (higher compression rate) any image editing software such as photoshop, gimp, has the ability to do that good luck
You can first reduce image dimension. Image -> Image size. Then you can reduce quality from save for web devices. 60 quality would be fine.
It depends to what sort of image you mean. If it is bitmap image so the best is Photoshop although Fireworks is also good enough. But it is vector image better for that is Fireworks or maybe Illustrator. All images used for designing websites are simple images which might be vector ones (smaller files)
Your copy of IrfanView would work just fine for this simple task. Check the "Help" pages for the prescribed procedure. It's already there waiting for you to find it.
I think you will be able to make a good size of your photo using Photoshop cs3 version for your website.
You already have a good image editor with Photoshop....use their help features. Also, check with Talkgraphics.com in their Photoshop forum (bottom of page). They will give quick answers for most questions.
Yeah I'd say infranview would be your best bet. Fairly easy to navigate as well if you're looking for the free alternative.
Photoshop is the best for bitmap graphics editing and I am writing a book about its version SE6 now. Afterwards I am going to learn the Illustrator which is a king of vector graphic editing. We need this for creating this sort graphics for website layout and presentation.
