sounds like you started backwards by building a site first.

forwards is:
1) find a niche
2) check demand in that niche (keyword research, how many monthly searches for those keywords)
3) check competition in that niche. Can you beat them with what you know and your budget, or compete in a different market segment (like offline)
4) if not, start at 1. If yes, move to step 5
5) Determine path to money: sell a product (ebook), affiliate market existing products, sell a service?
6) once you decide #5, then build a site to test the market. Make it look like they are realy buying a real product/service. Demo video, screenshots, whatever. Split test different prices. Have buy now button. When they actually click the button, they are taken to a page that says "product/service coming soon. Give email to be notified of launch." do NOT take money unless you can deliver product/service. This is just a test.
7) if test looks good (lots of people actually clicking buy now button), build product or service and launch.
8) promote the hell out of it.
