If you want one word answer for your question, it will be 'NO'.

Blogging was never a secure job as compared to Engineering. You should try to find job which relates to your skills. At most you can take up blogging as a hobby but not as full time job.

 

I don't think any career comes with a "secure" tag to it. There are good and bads of each one of them. Now don't tell me you cannot lose your job as an engineer and not get hired for a long time due to recession or another issues. Similarly blogging too goes through ups and downs. The comparison I feel is not possible given the fact they are two completely different things.

 

Its true that on Asian Sub-continent getting jobs according to your skills is so tough. As you have completed your Electronics Telecom Engineering degree you should keep trying to find jobs on that field. Until you find that job you can try to make money through blogging.

 

It can be a secure career if you have like 100k visits a month. But to achieve that, you need a lot of patience and time. You can start doing it as a hobby and part time.

 

Straight and clear answer is No. Engg. is good to join as professional.

 

You can use your blogging skills as passive income.

 

If you plan to write about a topic you know a great deal about that's a plus. If your topic isn't extremely difficult to rank keywords for, that's a plus too. But unless you become well-known you are always at the mercy of the search engines. Still, if you are not working right now it's better to stay busy and have something to look forward to doing each day when you wake up. If someone calls with an engineering job then that's great but who knows, maybe you will build something that pays the bills while you are waiting for something else to come along?

 

Blogging will definitely take longer for your blog to be successful, unless u get really lucky. But once it does, the traffic will grow virally and you will be an entrepreneur making thousands a month from the comfort of your home. And it will all be worth it! Good luck. Remember don't give up!

Dear I too from India and a c.a final student. I think blogging is much better then a job because if you got any job they will pay you around 20000-30000 rs per month and you have to work 10-12 hours each day. If you give this much of time to blogging it will definitely help you and you can earn more than a job. I am in this field from last 1.5 year and doing c.a just for my parents assurance.

Blogging is the best way to earn an income if you have time and want a stable income source. For those who want a large amount of a cash fast though it is not reccomended.

 

Bro, just make a good site, which can provide good and useful info to your visitors, don't go for income money first. As i see your site has full of ads which is looking spammy no content over there so how can you get good visitors. If you want to income from your site you have to serious on these matters otherwise just go with your main stream don't waste your time. Saying as a well wisher.

In the beginning take blogging as your part time work/hobby but once it starts you paying money then you can go ahead in this area as a profession.
Nothing is secure as a career but get skills which make you earning one way or other.

 

This is a good idea but for that you need to have good command on engineering and blogging.

 

You can use your engineering ideas in blogging. There is a huge demand on this over the net. But as far as I'm concerned, don't give up your day job on the basis of blogging. Continuing them both would be a good idea.
