I am into common sense and reality. I know guns don't kill people. Idiots do. So I am in favor of gun laws, probably similar to what is in place. I may not exercise my right to bear arms, but I will if someone tries to take that right away.

 

These are redneck off spring of hippies, it is the worst variation, they are all over Oregon, they came here to the mountains so they could grow their crops without harassment and then they started inbreeding but not just with one sister but all three sisters kind of thing.

As for absense/presence of guns let me go through how it is in China. Guns are not allowed for anybody other then the army in china. Obviously this is to prevent uprising etc. However it has an interesting effect.. there are virtually no armed robberies. People here can use their fists or knives, and thats about it. Perhaps you can lay this down upon an education system which creates obedience to law, or a society that creates a sense of familial obligation (being a criminal would make your family lose face, or embarrass them).

I'm speaking for Shanghai alone since I dont have enough experience in the other cities in China.

Honestly there is a place for guns especially on farms and ranches (like my family ranches in Oregon where various predators abound). Another use of guns is to protect yourself from intense governmental control.

As for there being a tight regulation on controls within individual cities or states in the USA.. how hard is it to get an illegal gun? If your country has areas where guns are easy to come by, then its easy to get them in other places. America has a large amount of illegal guns and thats why the criminals dont have a hard time finding them. Even with tightening of gun laws, the criminals largely passing restrictions by.

Well you keep giving situations on how guns are bad and on how stupid people make bad choices with guns and claim to be for the second amendment. It is enough to confuse even the brightest of minds.

I guess I am against stupid people.

I have known many people who owned hunting rifles, in fact almost everyone I know has one. Not many people I have known, carry a piece (handgun) but I have known criminals that did. Gun laws don't stop criminals from getting them, but nothing wrong with gun laws to slow them down from obtaining them.

Most people that I have known to own handguns are funny to me. One is a neighbor who drinks and I think uses other drugs, and just isn't one I consider to be in his right mind to even touch a gun. Another was a young man who had some weird paranoia, even though he talked tough and supposedly had taken karate (even his mom was part of all of this talk) he had to carry a piece. It caused him to total a jaguar because it slid under the brake peddle or something like that and he rear ended someone.

An outlaw doesn't care about the law so if governments restrict people to own guns, they do that for the law abiding people, not for criminals. A criminal doesn't go to a shop to buy a gun on his name, anyway.
