I think it should be between this range 1-3, below 1% is too low and above 3%.

The best density for Google is:

    Keeping things logical and sensible.

TIP: Google says that its Crawler/BOT can track which keywords you are trying to optimize; within a page if it is repeated '2-3 times'. (in overall content)

So, if you have a content of 500-700 words, repeating your keyword 2-4 times may help you in maintaining a density which Google prefers.

Density is the weight of a word that Google uses in meta frame: moreover youre domain nihe is critical in the behavior of search terms used by customer base....

3% is enough don't try to use your keyword over.

i use 2 keywords per page on 300 words article and 3 keywords on 500 words article. Google de-index pages which uses excessive keywords. So use only 2.

3 keywords in 500 words is only 3/5 % which is 0.6% and I think it is very low density of keywords, don't you think?

3-4% keyword density is what Google prefers the most for the most prominient keyword of your website. 2-3% for 2nd most prominient keyword and 1-2% for 3rd most prominient keyword and 0-1% for other keywords (not compulsory) but one in the content would be good.

In any case 2-4% would be fine.
