I don't pay anything for link building. Just natural way, I take. posting unique article every day, always visit another blog with the same niche and give positive comment. Just like that.Sooner or later, link in to my site will come.

 

i use to do it myself . i wont waste money on this .

 

I would emphasise the fact that unless you have something incredibly viral, some form of link building and investment is still required unless you are in a very low competition niche.

I use to spend $1000s for clients and myself but since Google Updated - nothing - still deciding what to do! :0

 

At the moment, I do the link building part myself so I don't really spend money. I work hard for every single backlink I get.

 

I spend on average 30 dollars, roughly 6% of my income.

 

I run several websites so certain months I may spend $300, other months $100 and some months $800, really depends on what my goals are and what I'm trying to achieve

 

I am doing the same thing but I am thinking to pay some web directory sites for premium listing. That's saves much of my time, moreover my link will be listed.

 

We don't pay for link-building, though our niche, for our demographic isn't very competitive. With that said, I have purchased them in the past (over 3 yrs ago), and like the OP didn't get consistent results from it.

 

If you are doing a business site, I'd suggest you to use that money on Google Ads
