Here are some new attributes within which HTML5 comes :

Main media elements such as audio and video will help to add sound and video in the webpage
Canvas element is used to draw graphics
Form elements such as data list, keygen are used to make more functional website

Above all elements which had not been added in the previous version of the HTML but now present in the HTML 5 for making the website more interactive and functional.

HTML5 is the newest version of HTML (the last major versions were HTML4 and XHTML1). HTML5 is awesome, but it's not 100% supported yet... so if you code for HTML5 right now, it's a good idea to create rules in your CSS that accomodate your visitors who use browsers that don't support HTML5 yet.

HTML5 is the latest version of HTML and XHTML. The HTML standard defines a single language that can be written in HTML and XML. It attempts to solve issues found in previous iterations of HTML and addresses the needs of Web Applications, an area previously not adequately covered by HTML.

    Thanks a lot,
    David

HTML5 website design supports high-quality graphic illustrations and scripting languages. The biggest advantage of HTML5 is that it is totally free to everyone. Hence no need to buy or pay subscriptions for proprietary software and plugins.

W3schools will help you to learn HTML 5. Even, I have learned from this website. It's good, only demands practice. That's it.
