Bounce Rate means Exit Rate.... Number of people which quit your site in less than one minute..... Regards
hassan001 is incorrect, bounce rate and exit rate are different things, and neither one has to do with how much time is spent on the page. Bounce rate is the percent of people who arrived on Page A and left that page without viewing any other pages. Exit rate is what percent of people who viewed Page A left from that page, regardless of what page they entered your site on. If a lot of people come in through Page B and then leave on Page A, that will contribute to Page A's exit rate but not the bounce rate. So if you have a slideshow with 10 images, you might see a high bounce rate on image 1 but a high exit rate on page 10 where people finish and leave. Bounce Rate = people who arrived on Page A and left on Page A / all people who arrived on Page A Exit Rate = all people who left on page A / all pageviews of Page A
Bounce rate is how many people visited your webpage only to leave without going further into the site. A high bounce rate is bad and means that people did not find your page interesting. Exit rate is different and less important.
Bounce rate refers to the percentage oReducing Bounce and Exit Ratesf visitors who view only one page of your website before leaving. In other words, the visitor ‘bounces’ on and off your particular page. Exit rate is defined as the percentage of visitors who leave your site from a given page based on how many visits that the particular page has received
Bounce rate is the rate that visitor leave from the entrance page without deep browse. Exit rate is the rate of the visitor leave from that page. Let show an example to see the different: website with 3 page: page A, page B & page C A visitor enter the page A and leave immediately : Bounce rate = 100%, exit rate from page A = 100% A visitor enter the page A and deep visit page B then leave: bounce rate = 0%, exit rate from page A=0%, exit rate from page B= 100%
Thanks for correcting me but where is the difference between bounce rate and exit rate in this case??? Regards
Bounce Rate is the percentage of visitors that hit your website on a given page and don’t visit any other pages on your site. The definition of Exit Rate is the percentage of visitors that leave your site from a given page based on the number of visits to that page (or pageviews in some cases). Sounds similar to Bounce Rate
Found These Links about this information while searching on Google.... http://blog.directorymaximizer.com/2011/10/17/bounce-rate-and-exit-rate/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bounce_rate http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exit_rate I hope all the 3 will help
Bounce rate means the rate of your sites visit but for less than one minute. And bounce rate and exit rate are the same.
For example, John views an organic search listing, clicks through to your site, and then leaves your site without visiting any other pages. This is called Bounce rate. Where as in case of Exit rate, John views an organic search listing, clicks through your site, reads a blog post, then clicks the About Us link. After finding out more about your company, John clicks the contact us link and fills out a contact form. He then exits your site. They both might sounds similar but there is a huge difference between them though.
You can actually view this in your Google Analytics. Here's my explanation, for example, if you see in your GA that your bounce rate is 100%, that means that visitors of your website didn't last long in viewing your website. The problem might be that they don't find your site interesting or there isn't any quality content to which they can click on. So, the lower percentage of your bounce rate is, the more likely it is that your visitors stayed on your website longer than five minutes or so.
Bounce rate (sometimes confused with exit rate)[1] is an Internet marketing term used in web traffic analysis. It represents the percentage of visitors who enter the site and "bounce" (leave the site) rather than continue viewing other pages within the same site.
Total number of visitor that visit your site but does not visit any other page of your site is called bounced rate. exit rate is the that the total no of visitor that exit from a particular page is called exit rate
Bounce rate refers to the percentage of visitors who view only one page of your website before leaving. Exit rate is defined as the percentage of visitors who leave your site from a given page based on how many visits that the particular page has received.
