New way for creating back links, does it works?

Hi all,

I heard a new way of creating back links today (not sure if you ever saw this before but it's truly the first time I learn about it):

Coupon Submission

There's some guy offering a list of submission sites in this kind, however, I got into a 500 error when clicking on the url.

Anyway, I guess it's something similar to article marketing and social bookmarking, just with some real benefit for the visitors and may have a more direct push on the sales.

Does anyone tried this before? Any list available? Are links from these sites do follows?

you can be able to make your sites higher in ranking by creating backlinks simply through article marketing or social bookmarking by choosing also links that are in higher ranking.
