I'm thinking about removing all the affiliate networks that are script based. It would clean up sites dramatically, and make them much faster. I would only be using ad networks with custom links and text. Any ideas?
Remember that "less is more". A website with too many ads can make your potential affiliates go away from your website. Just choose the best performing ads or even just one and use only those.
Sounds a wise decision. Visitors nowadays have higher requirements on a clean browsing environment. Blocks of ads and pop-up ads may push your visitors away, and as a result, decrease the value of your site.
That is one way to go. By decluttering your website, it will make your site load more faster as visitors today like me have a really short attention spam. If your site doesn't load fast enough, ya i'm definitely going to move onto other sites. Just be sure to do a lot of testing and tweaking on where to put your custom links and text so as to optimize your click through rate.
Try to focus to increase your visitors. Less ads will be more clean but many visitors will come to your site again
So, your just going to remove them to make your site faster? Sometimes you want all the ads, whether it loads faster or slower, isn't the whole idea of having all the ads; for them to clickthru to them and move on? JB
If the ads are slowing up your website then I think you should really take them off. If they are also too many of them and they are obstructing the view and user experience, then you need to do something about that also. -Omar
You should think from a visitor's point of view. Will they visit your site again if all your site has so many ads. It'll annoy them actually.
I agree with you. too much ads won't lead to success- choose 3-4 good and profitable ads and you'll be fine
SEO may cost you less money to get more traffic. But i think SEO needs a fine plan, and know how to do and what to do, the direction is very important.
He was just spamming. Anyway I believe that a mid point needs to be established. This can be done with RESEARCH. every site has a different audience which you need to target and ask them directly.
Agreed! Too many ads looks ugly, slows your site down and can prevent people clicking at all as they feel overwhelmed by everything that's going on!
