Board Signatures

    I have just stumbled upon this question: Do Board Signatures add backlinks to your website? And if yes, how many?

    Yes they do, as long as they are do-follow. However, irrelevant links have little to no link juice and won't do much for your rankings, especially in this post Penguin/Panda world.

    It would be one backlink per post that you have your signature displayed on. This is assuming that you are posting on a dofollow forum. I am not sure if Digital Point is, but I don't believe that it is.

    If I put a link in my signature leading to a blog and the text of the link is "online marketing", will it add a backlink to the blog with the keyword online marketing?

    All links carry some value - but dofollow are best.
    There is a case of diminsihing returns - better to get 10 links from 10 different boards that all from one or two
