I've recently created a site where you can enter contests to win money. I'm starting off with one contest and i'm going to be adding more the more visitors i have. These contests are going to consist of pictures in the beginning such as rage comics, memes, fail pictures, and pictures of that sort. I'll eventually be adding non-comedy picture contests and videos but just for the beginning i'll be doing comedy. How can i start up this site? Thanks!
How do i promote the YouTube videos then? Or do i just create great keywords to generate search traffic? Cause i'm already making one at the moment and just ned to know how to get more people to notice it.
When you create your youtube video just focus on using your keywords in the title and in the description as well as the tags. You can also find good kewyords to target by using the youtube keyword tool. This will give you a rough idea of how many people are searching for certain keywords on youtube.
Try the usual craigslist, backpage and qwikad.com You can get a few people visiting your site if you post ads in their community sections. Thanks!
If you implement basic SEO techniques then you easily getting visitors from search engines and one more is if you make some amazing contest design and banners then promote on Pinterest.
By the way backlinking is overrated in my view. I know people who backlinked their sites to hundreds of authority sites/blogs and still got very minuscule results from that.
If you search Google, there are dozens and dozens of freebie/contest directory sites, and even forums about them where you are welcome to promote yours. I've ran several contests and my contest got thousands of entries from promoting it through those contest directories.
