    2. The best advice (already mentioned by another person) is to get your own domain name and hosting. Then install wordpress, and start a blog through that. If you later decide you don't like Wordpress, you can look for alternatives like Joomla or Drupal. Wordpress is great though, and I doubt you will need more than it provides. For distributing your content through Google you can use Feedburner.
