    I know England and Spain really strong team but I don't think they will win the cup.
    I think Germany will be champion. The team is full of power.

    Every time the world cup or European championships take place the UK gets behind their national team almost to the point of frenzy. You remember the songs, the car flags and press involvement. The truth is the English Premier League is composed mainly of talented footballers who are not native to England.

    I admit there are a few world class players who are English, there are not enough in my view to win major tournaments consistently and don't seem to be able to play within a National Team. It's a fact of life. England is probably about fourth or fifth in the world and that's why we normally go out in the Quarter or Semi-Finals if we even get that far.

    I hope I'm wrong and our new National Manager will stop the in-fighting and light a fire under the backsides of some of these over-paid primadonnas so that they go out there and play instead of looking for excuses or the perfect long-range pass so they can look good on TV. Come on England, but I think Spain based on their recent form and the raw talent in their team will win.

    Now that Hodgeson is the manager you would hope that he would be able to put to bed the constant question of can Lampard and Gerrard play center mid together. the answer as we all know is no they can't, we have tried for 8 years and for 8 years it hasn't work. I would want England to win but I think that we should look at the German model, accept that 2012 is to soon for us and blood all the young players. Give youth an experience of a championship and start to build for world cup 2014.

    I think that this year though will be either Germany or Spain. They both have built squads that play as teams rather than expectational individuals.

    I would bet on Germany this year, I don't think Spain are as good as a couple of years ago and the English don't have the team mentality.
