    Yes, you can find a lot of resources about Google Penguin on the internet.

    In a nutshell, Google will penalize websites that are over-optimized with too many low quality backlinks and content.

    As has been said, there is plenty of information available regarding Penguin, but it is perhaps still too early for people to be saying that it as hit this or that because different sites have reported different problems. But it certainly doesn't hurt to have a really hard look at your own site and see if there is anything which in your own mind isn't quite right.

    Google released the Penguin update a couple weeks ago, in an effort to rid its search engine results of webspam. The update targeted the kinds of things Google has always tried to rid its results of, but the update is supposed to make Google algorithmically better at it. That, combined with the ever-refreshing Panda update, could go a long way to keep Google’s results closer to spam-free than in previous years.

    I rarely see over optimised site list well anyway. Panda got rid of that. Now we just see the big brands and nothing unique.
