What is the Key to Google Products?

What is the key to high listings on Google products in order of importance? eg product title, page title etc

Google Product search has many things and factor which effect rankings.

As per my experience it would be ..

1. Clear and Fast Loading website
2. Age of Domain and Data Feeds
3. Proper (easy to use) Navigation and good user experience
3. Targeted Keywords in Title but keep in mind that repetition of keyword will hurt you lot.
4. Very Highly Recommended is describe your product in such way that can stand out from competitor (As you know there are many website selling same stuff and have boiler plated description of products so it would be great if you describe product in your own way)
5.High Quality Images and (More than 1 image will helps you bit when u compete with other seller)
6. provide accurate information about price, mpn, shipping, stock and brand and other features that Google data feed provides.
7. data feed freshness

hope this might help you, i am not expert on data feeds but getting some good results on some of clients product search optimization using some of this technique.

 

Thanks for such a detailed reply. I think my problem may be my descriptions not being unique enough. In addition, companies that dropship my products copy my descriptions. I must get working on rewriting them!

Have you submitted data feed in Google product search ? if not then make sample feed with all possible attribute with the details and submit them. This is testing job so you have test various thing then you get exact idea what is missing need help then do let me know.

 

Yes, I have had a feed running for a few years (updated monthly) but have dropped in postion of the shopping pages. I have noticed a slight improvement since changing a few descriptions. Just another 1400 to go!

so when you say you want to develop a product, dose that mean ebook, or coding type of product? There are so many sites that could help you with coding I could give you if you want?

It goes this way: Title, Price, Description,Data Stuffing,Fresh Data, and Positive Reviews.

To a product page, the most important is title,then description, then price ....

The page title must contains product name.

I noticed in the last few months, Google starting favoring "corporate" sites even though I have complied with their requirements and had a better price etc... Anyone else?
