Following are some of the Mistakes which Leads to Website Bann according to Penguin Update : 1) Over optimizatioon of site 2) use of UN-natural title - use of repetitive keywords. 3) use of 2 or more keywords in the alt text. 4) Too many nofollow links from your site. Friends please share if you know any other.
I believe i might over optimize my site with too much keywords repeat and cause my PR drop yesterday. This penguin update usually crawl for spam content, duplicate content onsite and offsite.
i think no 4 have a mistake penguin didn't like to many doffolow link not noffolow link like site blog network
Over optimization is the basic mistake an SEO can do to get tracked down by Google Penguin. A friend lost his client when his client's website was targeted by Google Penguin. From Page 3 to zero.
So, therefore we have to do white hat SEO and not to go for shortcuts though its a slow process but have long term results.
Its a typical update from google. We need to keep this mind while we are optimizing our sites.Great info. Thanks buddy.
I don't think it is nofollow in general, I do think it is links from sites with thousands of links/comments etc - I still don't know about number three - where are people reading this that we can only have two links in the text?
Hi, Here are few more: Hidden text or hidden links. Use of cloaking or sneaky redirects. Send automated queries to Google. Uploading pages with irrelevant keywords. Creating multiple pages, subdomainswith substantially duplicate content. Creating pages with malicious behavior, such as phishing or installing viruses, Trojans, or other badware. Creating doorway pages just for search engines or other “cookie cutter†approaches such as affiliate programs with little or no original content. Thanks
I believe i might over boost my site with too much key terms do it again and cause my PR fall last night. This penguin upgrade usually spider for trash articles, replicate articles on location and off-site.
Number 3 is kind of suspect... The whole purpose of alt tags are to explain in text what the image is about. I'm pretty sure limiting that to one word would defeat the purpose. The key to Penguin in a nutshell is to vary your backlink anchor text (specifically more root domain/generic "click here" type of anchors) and use quality, high PR backlinks. IMO, guest blogging and press releases will be the SEO of the near future.
Possibly. White hat's the safest bet you can make as of the moment. But I think others do black hat on a slide to speed it up a little bit. Right now, I guess I have to settle for white hat.
One more "unnatural links". Most of all case i can find, many site receive "unnatural links" because Blog Network and cannot be reconsider.
It will be much much more reasons you drop in rankings : 1. over on page optimization : title, meta description, meta keywords, hi tags, bold text 2. bad quality links as blog comments and forum profiles 3. very few anchor texts that link to you 4. too many links build in a short period of time etc i have tested a strategy , with a small niche that has doubled my daily views... so it works but you have to change your point of view about seo and the entire strategy... That is all
