You need to remove any spam you might have. In some cases, Google may have sent messages to you about spam activity in the past. Messages may even be waiting for you in Google Webmaster Central, if you’ve never verified your account.

fresh and unique content will be big factor to recover in Google Penguin and as they said avoid creating spammy links and keyword stuffing, it's better to build your quality links.

One more tip that seemed to work out fine

try to get involved in more google services that will help read your site better

    google places
    google products
    etc etc
the more involved within the initial system you are the more trust is put towards you

scale down on exact keyword phrasing to about 2.5% max
battle with bounce rates everything above 30% is bad news
add more conversion points doesn't matter if their less significant the overall conversion % of the site will count

First off, thanks for these tips. With the sudden arrival of Google Penguin, I wish there could be more. And, hopefully, Google won't be able to spot our strategy - not in the next 10 years or so.

Well, they tend to make SEO more organised and transparent, perhaps even easier to predict outcomes and required tactics in some cases, so if the only root available will be to do it right or not do it at all then it's not exactly "strategy" that they can diminish more "influence" will just be passed to the users and we'll have to stick with providing a logical informational landscape

    Hi Agent,
These are best practices that is aligned with Google Guidelines.
Google executive (Matt Cuttt) also hints about the un-ethical link building and over optimization.

So the above points are just around those hints.

You claimed that your tips will help a site recover from penguin. I ask you again, as NO site has received from the penguin update, how do you actually know that a site will recover????

In reality you have no idea if they actually work or not and you should have said so rather than post information that you really have no idea about.

    Hi Agent,

Google Penguin came into picture on 24th April 2012 and if a site hit by Penguin then it take time to recover from it.
If someone will follow the standard guideline he/she will definitely see the positive result.....

Well only time can prove my words.....

    Thanks for your comments

Some other two tips that might work. Remove external links from Blogrolls, put keywords in navigation and remove dynamic keyword generated. Also forget about Meta keywords
