    Hey everyone,

    Just wondering what resources you would suggest are the best for learning SEO?

    I don't have much experience with it, although I'm a quick learner and am pretty confident I'll be able to get the hang of it pretty fast.

    Thanks!

    Maybe not what you want to hear, but I would suggest avoiding paying too much attention to SEO until you have a converting offer on a site you know is worth spending more time effort and $ on.
    All traffic costs in time, cash or both - and I've learnt it's better to test with paid traffic before worrying about SEO.
    If you have a blog, by all means use an SEO plug-in such as "All in One SEO"

    Hi, I got few important aspects and practices for you. If you are doing on page optimization the consider the following as Developer View:

    Title Tag: No more than 70 Characters
    <head>
    <title>Put Keywords</title>
    </head>

    Meta Description: No more than 155 Characters
    <meta name=”description” content=”Brief description about page and try to use all important keywords.”/>

    H1,H2,H3:
    <h1>Put Most Important</h1>
    <h2>Put Second Most Important</h2>
    <h3>Put Third Most Important</h3>

    Texts::
    <b>Keyword</b>
    <strong>Keyword</strong>

    Image:
    <img src=”useKeyword.jpg” alt=”Describe the image and use keywords” />
    Hyperlink <a href=”www dot yoursitename dot com/websitepage dot html” title=”keyword”>Put Keyword in Anchor Text</a>

    Hyperlink:
    (No Followed)
    <a href=”www dot yoursitename dot com/websitepage dot html” title=”keyword” rel=”nofollow”>Put Keyword in Anchor Text</a>

    Depth of URL: Not more than 4
    Example: www dot mywebsite dot com/website-directory/directory-page/

    URL Parameters: No more than 2
    Example: www dot mywebsite dot com/directory dot php?page

    Amount of Links: No more than 100 unique links with page size 150KB
    Unique Links

    I agree with Steve above. I think a lot of people are so worried about SEO that they forget the basic foundation of a website, quality content and a reason for the visitor to return or buy.
