    Hi Guys,

Big reason to worry for me!

After google has launched new algorithm PENGUIN almost 80% of my websites has been been affected by it. All the ranking has been fallen back, most of the keywords are not in 100 now already which were on top first page. Not only of my sites but my friend sites rankings too. How to get rid of it or what strategy I need to follow so that I can get my old ranking back. Please guide me, I am in big trouble.

What they have done is taken a look at your sites and deemed them of low quality, nothing can be done to over ride this except by improving the quality of the content if and when you do this they should then start to rise again in the ranking.

You can't get rid of penguine or google for good. You can get rid of it if you disallow google bots to access your site which should be worst case scenario. Try to find out what's the reason your site got affected. I think you have used xrumer or some software for linkbuilding... If your site is old and respected then your site will be back in google after 48-72 hours automatically.

Interesting post and something to make us all be alert and check our google positions regularily. With a few older sites myself I really now need to do a major revamp and in essence near start fresh.

You may want to review your websites. Over-optimisation can send negative signals too and can ultimately cause falling down in the SERPs.

I recommend not to submit for review. You should first find out the reason behind the drop. Should check all the back links for any kind of possible spam links. Try to improve the content and do ethical quality linking. Don't bother quantity but only quality.

    Hi Grimm,

    thanks for your reply.

I have already reviewed all my websites and all of the work i have done on those. I have done only quality work with very limited numbers but not able to find what actually google consider as over optimization? how many link i have to do every month for my websites or how many articles posting, directory submission and social bookmarking I have to do? after how many submissions google consider it as over optimization ?

It's nothing to do with content. This update was aimed at overoptimisation but so far from what I've seen, Google has punished many good-quality sites with original content. The biggest losers seem to be the EMD (exact-match domain) sites regardless of the quality of content.

Older sites with no SEO done to them are actually doing pretty well out of this update.

This downfall is seen all around due to the "Penguin" named algorthm update by Google so it is good improve your quality of content with proper relevancy in the website to comeback in search results pages through targeted keywords.

you can't really get rid of the penguin update.

As google now loves great content, my only advice is to make your website an authority site.

Put quality articles/posts on your website and rankings will follow

Start a new site, or work on link variation. Google dulled the effect of the penguin update recently, rankings should come back with a better linking profile and updated content.

Start from the beginning. No way left. Work for quality contents and quality back links. Never go for blackhat techniques.
