Server Speed - Please Review and Test

I just upgraded to my first dedicated server from one of my VPS accounts that was constantly down.

All I am wanting to know is does the server appear 'fast' to you?

The link is not even my site, just a site I host for a DP member.

Click and load the home page, browse, as little or as much as you want.

I just really want the server stressed a bit, I want to know if speed is good on your end

It looks like it’s extremely fast. For me it took less than a second to be displayed.

 

Really fast for me. i tried 4 times and i get good results. Whic server do you use. dedicated or sharing plan?

It is a dedicated server, I was sick of slow load times from reseller package so I moved to VPS and still was not satisfied so now this is my first dedicated. I want to make sure it's moving good as I plan on possibly buying 1 or 2 more dedicated servers in the near future.

The website is fast loading, but isn't vps giving you the right option? I've got a vps running nicely (powervps), but I can imagine dedicated is a better option to grow.

and Powervps is who I'm running from! They have f'd my sites up so bad over the past few weeks I want nothing to do with them!

You just stick a vbulletin in there and watch them mess up royally. Have you tried running a vbulletin on it? I think for the most part it was fine for Grim til webtalkforums came along, lol. We had a hell of a time til I finally moved the vbulletin 2 nights ago.

Yes it was 'ok' but it was always slow. I couldn't even ssh my backups, it would stall out every time. The new hardware node they moved me to is better, it still doesn't excuse all of the f ups they did and then refusing to at least admit to their mistakes! That's what pisses me off the most, at least admit to when you f up!

Usually used for cd archives I believe, programs, etc. Not 100% fully certain on the exact definition off hand.

i get 120kbps on the bin file on a 3 mb line, and the page loaded in 5 seconds, but it's fast enough i guess it's faster than my shared hosting

 

i have 1024 bit downlaod rate and i downloaded your file average 104kbyte/s. Good luck with your new servers.

Where server is housed?USA?What's the uplink port?10mb, 100mb?
Downloaded from my server which is housed in Canada.It is kinda slow from there

Then downloaded from my other dedi which is in USA.Fast on it i think it's in US.

I think currently that site is being forwarded in a way by the old vps which may cause a slight delay for those of you outside of the US. - Slight delay for initial loading, causing outside of the US to be even slower.
