Does Google penalize sites with to many links on home page?

i am currently working on a site http://www.advancednutrients.com/hydroponics/ which has many links on its home page. Will google penalize my site and reduce my rankings and Page Rank

 

If is more internal links and less external links than I don't think Google will penalized cause loves content, if you have valuable content than why google will penalize your site, you need to have good quality content where users will like it and be satisfy with it..

You should aim to have fewer than 100 links on the page.

 

yeah i was planning to remove few links from the home page... so that the site load time will improve..

As long as you have text, images and not just links it's ok. By that, I mean a blank white page with links to other sites will be banned.

I have checked your site and there were no problems in loading. However, keep it in mind that the more the page loads, the less visitors Google will refer to your site

Hi there kevinanderson1 i dont think google will penalize you for the links you have set up i had a look at your site and its looking good i also think that with those kind of links google would reward you more then slap you as your pointing out to other good sources.

if you have too many links on home page then google will never penalize your site if you are doing spamming then google will penalized your site.

 

This site looks good, but I would seriosly remove all this links. Put on some categories with sub-links

It doesnt matter for google for you to have many links on your site, I have site with dozens of links and that site is doing well in Google, so I dont think it would be penalised.

 

I've been following a certain site not so long ago, where admins made a little test. They had a slow page load and saw a drop in traffic from Google.

So, they replaced their design with a simple one and pages started to load much more faster. Soon the traffic from Google raised.

 

Yes, As most of you are suggesting inbound link structure wont be punished. It speed up indexing with Google bots.

 

Yeah, somehow, i have sites with more than 130 links in the homepage with rich content, but does even better than my highly optimized "normal" websites with few links in the homepage.

 

No, google will penalize when your website contains copied pasted content or when you do have created too many backlinks (through blog networks, automated tools etc) then google may find that and penalize.
