Need Seo advice for News Portal

hello mates, I have a website that fetches latest breaking news from news agencies and publish them automaticly via cron jobs...
I have a unique theme and l was thinking l made enough seo with my small knowladge.

l need traffic now,

pls advice me what should l do else on the seo side to get better rankings and higher traffic.

First of all, I hate the idea of showing someone else's contents on your site.

This is duplicate contents and will eventually be hit by next round of Panda updates.

I have seen large sites that worth multi-million dollar goes down the drain due to this.

So, invest your time and resources wisely when it involves duplicate contents.

 

You should take advantage of social networks. I bet you can find people interesting in your news services on Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin or Pinterest. Try to have a presence on all this and try to talk more with your audience. Also try building some backlinks on various sites like Squidoo, Hubpages and other. Having an article on each of them could get you a lot of traffic...

For the better result of your keyword go through press release and blog posting of your website. It will give your site faster result in ranking as well as higher traffic.

I think guest posting on high pr blogs will help you.

 

As others have mentioned above I think that the only good solution could be social networks traffic. Your are going to put copied content only and google doesn't really love that, so I guess it's going to be hard to rank with it. Try to build some audience with FB etc. Otherwise you could re-write your news content and try to build an authority news site. Both ways are kinda hard so good luck with that.
