Yes, we have had 584 new submissions today alone.
We have only been open 48 hours and traffic is huge.
I can't wait to see when we get an Alexa Traffic Rank.

The amount of submissions has taken us by surprise.
This is a good thing but we are in urgent need of editors.
We are looking for volunteers to help edit new submissions.
Contact us on the directory and be sure to send us your CV. :)

Don't want to burst your bubble, but I think what you are seeing is fairly normal. Getting tons of link doesn't mean it will make you rich or provide you benefits in any way. In fact the opposite may be true, google is already watching every move you make. One wrong move and it's game over. Why do you think 99% of directories get abandoned sooner or later with tons of pending links?

No, you're not bursting my bubble.
In fact you're quite right, flybuzz. ;)

Web Directory 92 is now 3 days old.
We are doing REALLY well. Check out our Alexa rank.
We also have been rated 5 stars. :D

    Our traffic is pretty high.
No! We're not the best directory in the world (not yet!)
BUT we are doing pretty well for a 3 day old website.

Come along and submit your link.
Who knows...it might get some reads. ;)

Oh yes, and you can now browse the directory on your mobile.
You can also submit new links and even new articles on your mobile.
We have a new mobile theme that works with mobiles, even iPhones.

By the way, have you used our services to submit your link(s) or article(s)?
If not, why not? Go ahead and submit your link. Also, please join us on Facebook.
Only if you want to, of course, but you can tell us what you think on our FB Page.
You can also ask questions, or post suggestions on our wall. Facebook is great. :D

I tried submitting my site www.everest1953.co.uk but after filling out the form and clicking 'continue' after 1 minute I got fed up waiting while it said 'please wait'. :'(

    Ouch! That sounds frustrating. :(
I just tried. Works fine for me. :D

Web Directory 92 Version 2.0 is now online.
With twice as many categories and new submission rules.
Also a lovely new WYSIWYG editor for submitting links & articles. :D

The link not working for you, works fine for me. ;)
It loads the submit link page with the climbing category.

I am sorry you're having these problems.
could you send me some screenshots of your problem.
but before you do perhaps try using a different browser?

Clear your browser cache and try again might help.
Then again it might not. I'm at a loss here as it works for me.

No links have shown up for approval yet.
You will need to confirm your email address.

Once you've done that I will look into it for you. :)

It is the one with farming and agriculture (farmzone. info), i've got wrong the category, i've added to health by mistake, it should be to science - agriculture.

    Thanks.

    Okay, easy mistake. LOL! :p
If any other submitters submit to the wrong category by mistake,
do what rw_essen did and contact an editor, either myself here on DP,
or by using the contact form on the directory (probably easier on DP actually).
Otherwise your submission may be rejected for being in the wrong category.
(we normally move to the appropriate category instead of reject it if we can).

But thanks for contacting me, rw_essen. I have moved it to the right category.
All five of your submissions have been checked and approved, and are now LIVE. :)

Just a quick...but very pleasing update. I'm sure you will find this interesting...
(notice how I posted on our FB page around 2-3 hours ago detailing an Alexa rank update).
Now look again, within the last 5 minutes I posted another update...another traffic increase.

Now we're on a roll at the moment,
but just like a car needs a constant supply of fuel,
we need a constant supply of visitors and submissions to maintain our current,
or even increase, our high (well high considering the site is only 6 days old) Alexa rank.

On that note, we are looking for volunteers to become editors on Web Directory 92.
If you are up for the task then contacting me on the Facebook page, is the easiest way.
Or you could send me a private message here on DigitalPoint, if that is what you prefer.

Please include details of any experience (if any...doesn't matter, but it helps with the application),
and also detail (up to 100 words I would say would be enough), WHY you think we should pick you.
As we want to provide our users with a quality back-link...to do that we need to do things properly.
We need our editors to understand and abide by the basic guidelines and to work with us as a team.
We are NOT looking for people who want to be an editor so they can approve their own links in bulk.

Good grammar and good knowledge of the English language is ESSENTIAL to the application process.
We look forward to receiving your applications. Sadly there are only 2 of us at the moment.
We would be grateful for your voluntary contribution to this NON PROFIT and FREE web directory. :D

It does NOT work for me eather in IE9. I also get the button 'PLEASE WAIT' after pressing 'Continue' and it stays for ever like that.

I tried the same submission in Firefox and there it warned me that I need to fill in meta keywords and meta description. After I did I pressed the button Please Wait and the submission worked.
In IE9 I did not get an error that the meta keywords and meta decription needed to be filled in so I think that is the problem.

You will need to check why it does not give a warning when they are not filled in

    You are using Internet Explorer?
    The worlds worst web browser??

This is definitely an issue with Internet explorer.
internet explorer just doesn't work any more.
i have numerous websites that Internet explorer is the only browser they don't work in.
Firefox asked you to fill in meta (that is correct). Internet explorer did not (that is wrong).
the link worked in Firefox (that is correct) but did not work in Internet explorer (that is wrong).

Sorry to sound like this, but I am a devoted hater of Internet explorer.
the site loads perfectly fine, and works perfectly fine in any other browser.

A lot of people use IE and and they will keep on using it, regardless of what some of us want.
You should fix, whatever you have to fix on your website to make it work in all the important browsers. After all, you are the one who needs them to come to your site. It is not the other way around.

If you want to have success in business [regardless of its nature, be it online or offline] you have to always think that people have a lot of other options, and a limited time.

True, but I didn't make the script.
php link directory did. That's the issue.
Besides people, try google chrome. Do yourself a huge favour.
though, it is, like Alex210 says, important to cater for all visitors.

It would be nice if ALL VISITORS, though, joined the elite.
and started using web browsers that not only work, but work faster.

What would be nicer is if Microsoft fixed their lame excuse of a web browser they call "IE".
Admittedly, I've seen some improvements in IE 9, such as the ability to display "border-radius".
But I often find Internet explorer puts boxes around clickable images when you don't want it to.
and there's many other issues with Internet explorer which remain, like ones you're experiencing.

It's funny how every other main web browser, or nearly every other one, works without an issue.
but Microsoft IE, the web browser designed by one of the worlds most renounced companies doesn't.

If only bill gates himself were reading this. LOL! :p

Agreed Alex210! Zrob2012 - You need the traffic so You need to serve all browsers regardless of your personal views. Traffic is Traffic no matter where it comes from
