Which Way is Better for Backlink Building

Posting comments on personal blogs and posting comments on forums are both effective way to build backlinks to your site. However, Personally speaking, I'm more in favour of posting on forums.
Because increasing amount of blogs are becoming nofollow ones and some of the blogs with high PR even ban people from commenting. It is becoming increasingly hard to find the right do-follow blogs to comment on.
Comparatively, forums are not changing their policies all the time. One could build a lot of backlink with sticking to posting comments on just one dofollow forum. It is much easier.
    What do you think?
Which way do you think is better and why???

On topic blogs are the best. The problem with forums is that it is difficult to target specific topics, sometimes.
Look at your sig. For example, what does Euro news briefing have to do with General Marketing, the topic of this forum :))

If this was a Euro News forum, you would be in good shape (with regards to your linking).

Both forums and weblogs may become nofolloow. Generally, blog posts don't loose their PR so quickly because forum posters create content more quickly than bloggers. The more new content is created the shortest time is needed for the page with your link to be moved deeper in the wesite hierarchy.

I say write more material for your site a make sure you put rich kws in the text. Backlinking is good - but not as good as writing good content.

Getting links from forums is ok, I find that the best method as I learn as well so basically killing two birds with one stone. If you are doing it purely for the links then I say go for blog comments.

There are ways to find do-follow blogs. I have a list somewhere (that is regularly updated). I just can't seem to place my hands on it right now. I'll look for it some more later and post it in a new thread if I find it.

I, myself support forum posting as a good source of backlink builder. But how do I know that which forum is dofollow and which is not?

open the source for the page with your signature and check your link for rel=nofollow attribute, or use an addin for mozilla that shows the nofollow links in different collors

Haha you Forum links is just spam. The links are coming from unrelated content, as such they are seen by the serps as non relevant links.
The best way with best backlink building is a wide variety of diversified links, not just one source or one directory type but instead a broad variety of interlinked sources.

I am offering you to beta test my tool for FREE, http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=2451556#post17559410
