You can do it with organic traffic and paid traffic.If you want to go with organic traffic,You can start right now,Create a signature and make some valuable posts in this forum. I agree with suggestions from the above people regarding basic SEO and marketing methods to promote your business/site. But another thing I always suggest for online marketing is necessity to create sharable content which definitely can help you with SEO as well. If you cannot create such content yourself you can ask / hire people who can. For example, I have recently found this guy who creates so called graphic facilitation and I find this stuff to be an interesting marketing opportunity to spread the word about businesses. HI, Good advice in the previous replies. They are mostly Off Page Optimization techniques. Make sure you have good ON Page Optimization also. You need BOTH of these. There is tons of free info on the web for On Page Optimization. Robert's Golden Rule of On Page Optimization: Create your site to be both pleasing and useful to humans. Then follow through with On Page SEO techniques. About Signatures: You need at least 10 posts, member at least 7 days and good reputation. Notice at the bottom of a Reply there are 3 icons. Free methods include ARTICLE MARKETING, forum and blog posting, social networks, and so on. You will need to put in a bit more work with free traffic in that you have to create the content. Why not deploy a video marketing strategy. In fact tagged (keywords) videos are generally more quickly ranked than written content! I happen to use a platform called Talk Fusion for my website video content!
