Hey guys. This is my first post here. I have been lurking for a while and have made several SEO sites in English(my native language). Right now I am looking at Spanish keywords(my 2nd language) and trying to assess their competition. If any of you can help, I am seeking answers to these questions: Are the Google Top 10 I see for a Spanish keyword phrase(here in Michigan) the same top 10 someone sees in Mexico? Are the PageRanks of the top 10 sites(and other SEOQuake data) I see the same PageRanks someone would see in Mexico? Thanks in advance
Thanks. I'm looking specifically for these answers: Are the Google Top 10 I see for a Spanish keyword phrase(here in Michigan) the same top 10 someone sees in Mexico? Are the PageRanks of the top 10 sites(and other SEOQuake data) I see the same PageRanks someone would see in Mexico?
Are the Google Top 10 I see for a Spanish keyword phrase(here in Michigan) the same top 10 someone sees in Mexico? -sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. your IP is one of the ranking factor in google geo, if you are using Mexican IP in michigan, yes it will be the same in local search engine. but if you are using US IP the result might be different but not that huge difference. I have the same scenario as yours, we are using 2 IP's and both showing different results. remember if you are going to search for SERP better do it manually and clear all cached and cookies from your PC and browser to get an accurate result. Are the PageRanks of the top 10 sites(and other SEOQuake data) I see the same PageRanks someone would see in Mexico? -Yes, page rank is still the same even you are in US and Mexico.
Many SEO rules of deride still administer whichever seek engine you’re targeting. Keywords, for example, are still badly important. It’s consistently best to analysis these for altered markets, rather than artlessly application absolute translations. Colloquialisms, abbreviations and added another agreement ability be added popular. All the above seek engines accept their own keyword accoutrement to advice you analyze which will plan best.
Thanks George! That's more info than I've gotten on WickedFire and the Warrior Forum about this topic.
So are you saying its possible to use a Mexican IP when searching here in Michigan? How would I change my IP?
Use the SEObook rank checker Firefox addon to check the rank of sites regardless of location. And if you want your site to target a certain geographical area you can set that up by adding your site to Google Webmaster Tools.
Foreign keyword research is a complicated task, not every tool gives you accurate results. You may try your hand on ‘Keyword Country’... Its a great tool for multilingual keyword research. pretty satisfactory results.
