    My dear wife uses Yandex frequently for searches in Russian, and has used it for several years. I didn't even know that a western version existed until I saw this post! I just had a quick look and it is fairly basic, but no doubt it will evolve.

    Yandex just opened its first office ever in a non-Russian-speaking country in Turkey. Their ads running on TVs madly, looks like they are assertive in Turkey, but have no chance against Google, to be the number one search engine in the market, as well as in the world. Yandex's cool, nevertheless, Google will always be the number one and is irreversible option for Internet users.

    The worst search engine for me. I have the bad experience with search engine. A lot of spamming from Russia and China(Baidu). Both the countries always attack in my website. From the Russia ,i am unable to control the spam. After all i have to close the website.I have use the cloudflare but it useless for me. Because captcha is easy to break.
    I am totally frustrated about this.And i got the one solution by luck.I have change the website IP address and some much spam get stopped.But when it stopped its too late for me and my website.

    I get some traffic from there as well. Looks like it's number 1 search engine from there. If you target russian demographics, can focus on Yandex.

    That's because there are lots of Russians in Turkey, as it's easier to travel there for them than to the EU (visa problems, etc.). As for your comments about Google, the big G will crash one day, if not soon, then some day...
