Withdraw to HDFC (through CITI ) - No Clearance Since 3rd - Problem?

Discussion in 'PayPal' started by jhnrang, Apr 9, 2012.

My account is set to automatically withdraw! Not sure how I make it week by week!:(
Have 6 withdrawals out of which Paypal shows 5 completed. But not a single paisa has been added to my bank account (HDFC).
From records and after talking to the Branch Manager - I understand that Paypal uses CITI Bank as their corporate bank to transfer funds to us, Indian traders through NEFT. I understand that NEFT means transferring within 24 working hours. But my account statement says CITI Bank is not following the rules and doing it on batches!

Anybody with similar problem? Please share.

Don't worry as you'll get it by tomorrow IMO. This time delay due to serial holidays so no need to panic at all.

    DON.

You should receive the deposits without an issue but in the future, make sure that details like your name on consistent on both the PayPal and the bank name. If your bank doesn't recognize the name that your deposits are coming in under, they could possibly reject the transaction.

    Hi,

Don't worry about such things with PayPal. As they say in the confirmation mail of payment withdrawal, transfer can take upto 7 working days and that means, more than 9 stright days sometimes. So, don't worry. You will get your payment(s) eventually. PayPal never keep money if transaction is valid.

    Thanks.

By now, I think you should have figured this out. If not, here are the right answer.

No, you can not. Effective mid last year, PayPal India was forced to set daily auto withdrawal on Indian personal / Premium and Business accounts. Go to https://www.paypal-apac.com/india/ and click FAQs' to know about this more.

There is no use in talking to Bank manager. Typically PayPal payments to Indian bank undergoes wide range of process. They are subject to security check, currency conversion and of course as you said NEFT transfer.

It usually takes 5 to 7 days for me to get my money on my Bank account. Occasionally sometimes it may even take 8 or 9 days due to holidays. Hope this helps.
