London, Tokyo, New York are normally mentioned as the most expensive cities. I live in London though and it's certainly more expensive than other cities for housing and transport etc. But the public transport is better and there's plenty of places to get cheap clothes and food.
I live in FL, I don't know what villas you're finding here for 100k.. they can't be over 2ksq ft. But yes, US is much cheaper than UK. You can find a ocean view for 500k easy here in FL.
I would say it is Tokyo, it costs a bomb to just eat a simple meal and lodging is crazy in terms of costs.
London is the most expensive city of the world i think because many of my friends who stays in London says that the living standard is more expensive in London than compare to other countries of the world.
I'm pretty sure Tokyo is the most expensive city in the world. Its a really nice city though, fantastic for going on a holiday.
Definitely London. I have lived here for more than 25 years and it never amazes me how expensive this city is. I have also travelled to many other major cities around the world and although places like Tokyo and New York seem expensive, nowhere is as consistently pricey as London
