As Win 8 is still a beta one.
I still think Win 7 is better.

They both have their advantages, but with windows releasing an app store, which currently developer wise is THE BEST. App store as we speak, because it allows you to program your apps from LITTERALLY, any Programming language, which is a first. You like Some big ones they offer complete support for are Java, Javascript, Php, Html, C++, C, and C#, and, the gui is amazing, now the internet explorer in 8 is akward at best. The search functions are better then win 7's. which isn't saying much. Your Desktop is now an App by itself, and you can run any program compatible with XP onward. This is a big leap in OS, and this is just info I gathered myself from the Developer Release, it's not even in beta yet for God's sake. This OS will prove it's going to be the best yet.

Here is a personal comment about this, OPEN SOURCE (UNIX LINUX) was developed by AT&T's Bell Laboratories in the early 1970's, Universities, research institutes, government and other computer companies all began using UNIX system to develop many of the technologies which today are part of a UNIX system. Till 2010, UNIX on the desktop (for the most part APPLE) with more than 50 million users, is the best OS So far ever made......but .....still in our point of view, not the standard for business. But it is definitively more stable than any windows system, from my personal experience.
Now The problem with it, like i say, is that it is not the standard for business, so we geeks are stuck with windows even if we don't like windows, the Sharepoint websites are not intended for Desktops users using LINUX, and good luck to all of the LOTUS (IBM) users out there, i feel for you.
Now windows is not that Bad, just like @JSProjects said and i agree, there are windows systems reliable, like windows 2000 professional, my favorite but only if you are not connecting it to the internet =) , i use it back in the day's on Radio Stations to control the Audio Consoles, and it was stable. But with a Gazillion lines of code i really dont know what is best for them at this time.
Windows was a procedural engine Windows API (WIN32) so programers could use subroutines and function to code for it, i consider it simple but big. Slowly but surly windows made his OS more Object oriented for coders, making it this days... super complex to really understand. So to make this more difficult to love windows and not to loose my point.
My problem is that they don't seem to make up their mind in where they are going and make legacy systems obsolete with newer engines, forcing us to upgrade and buy newer equipment.
So from my heart i hate you, from my business i love you, and for all of you readers i wont change my Android Galaxy II for any other phone =)

    win8 30% more faster than win7 ..

    win8 installed in 10min .. win7 installed in 15min
win8 boots to desktop in 10seconds .. win7 boots to desktop in 30 seconds
win8 desktop is more sharper than win7 .. win7 is little blurry
win8 is more intuitive than win7 .. u move the mouse to corners ..u get something.

    Negitives
Srartup screen is utterly bad.. looks like made with paint rather than PS ..there is no HD feel to startup screen ..its not animated also.

    Good one :)

I will stick with Win 7 for now, it works great in a combination with an Intel Core i7 and a SSD disk.
