Since you have some internet marketing experience, why not buy a website that is making a little bit of money, tweak it so it is making a lot of money, then sell it for a big lump sum? Not to sound too biased, but I have a gig site (with active members) for sale in the business section here. Check it out and maybe we can work out a negotiation. Just an idea
I will suggest you to invest money in Forex trading site. Also, you can find some project on any webmoster site and invest you money there. Another choice is to buy adsense website. Just think very carefully before starting you investing.
Try to invest money in some link building, I am sure the others would disagree but the results would be much more then expectations.
Join a private forum about PPC. Use your remaining money to setup campaigns. It is possible (if you are lucky) to double or triple your money.

Capital gains taxes will take out a significant amount of your earnings, plus the CC interest means you have to find an investment with probably 40% returns to even break even! Best advice on the thread. You can purchase a great Adsense site from DP or Flipper for $200. Then go buy good content (20 articles $100)add one or two articles a week over 12 weeks. Buy 50 backlinks using different types of backlinks per week (50 Backlinks $20 X 12 weeks = 240). At the end of the 12 weeks the site should have good traffic if you choose the keyword and niche correctly, Then put the site on a drip feed of 10 backlinks a week and 1 to 2 fresh content per month.
