I would say it depends what country you are targetting. Most of my business is in the UK so I aim for .uk extensions. However if I am going for US market and Google.com I would use the order of .com, .net, .org. I would never touch a .info, .tv, .biz etc. Purely as if I want to sell my site donw the road, it gets undervalued because of these domain extensions. I mainly go for exact match domains so that may sway my deision sometimes
It doesn't matter that what is your website's extensions your can take the extensions whatever you want. But if you have the country wise and your business according extensions. Then i think it can be beneficial for you. Because if you want to promote your business in India on that condition .in very helpful for you. So you have to chose the extension according to your business and country.
Alnother thing is that it does matter for country. If you want to be country specific with your website it's best to have that domain extension. ie: .co.uk (for UK), .fr (for France), .de (for Germany) and so on...
To galvanize my point, I have several blank websites at the number one spot on Google with nothing but an h1 tag and the meta tags. So, content isn’t as important as some preach even though SEO gurus often say, “Content is kingâ€. I believe with the current Google algorithm, content is not king. Links absolutely beat content with Google. Great content does not get you to the top of the search engines, SEO does.
