Should i approve comments on my wp site?

Hey guys! I just need a suggestion from all SEO experts out there. I receive around 8-10 comments daily on my wp site. I know those are spam comments and each comment includes a link to their website in the website field. What i need to know is that, should i approve those comments as these comments will be crawled by google and other bots and can help me get some traffic. Till now i've been marking them as spam. What do you suggest please share your opinion, i would really appreciate.

Hi there its totally your decision whether or not you want to keep spam comments .also if you want to keep some or all spam comments.Also you can use wordpress plugins to delete spam comments rather than you manually checking each comment and going around .If you have a money making website (im not saying a website which teaches you making money) and have good quality unique content then you should seriously make a good decision.

I only approve comments with no links,not even the name,email,website they have to be thoughtful not just like "thanks"

filter the spam comments out from the comments that are talking exactly about the subject matter of the page. Keep the comments that are adding something to your site discard the rest

 

Most of these comments will be from SB blasts.. just go ahead & delete them... In rare cases, you may find some relevant comments but I hv seen that 99% times the comments are generic.... do you get SB blast comments or actual visitor comments?

 

you can download the wordpress add on for that, it will automatically filters some useless comments and consider it as spam and they will automatically get deleted.

 

obviously you should approve the relevant comment, comments words are also helpful for search engine.

 

Valid comments can add good insight and value to your blog. Spam is spam and it gets in the way of productivity from my point of view.

 

If they are relevant and actual comments from real people, yes approve them. There are spam filters for comments you can download onto your WP site as well.

 

Try to avoid spam comments and approve only the related to your website comments (not just "Great info...")

You can approve some of them. Search Engine prefer the sites which have communication with the visitors. However, I suggest you delete the links from comments or set up nofollow meta for the links in every comment.

I suggest only relative comments. You have to watch the link back to spam sites as they could hurt your site.

 

If you find them as spam, just delete them.
