SEO for a file uploading site.

    Hey guys,Ive been lurking around for a couple of weeks now and have been looking for solutions for about 2 months. Im trying to improve the SEO on my file cloud website, there is not much written content which is where the problem starts :confused:. The search engines sure dont like that. Ive tried buying advertising aswell. Im just trying to get some more organic traffic if anyone has any tips please let me know it would be greatly appreciated :).My site is http://www.itsuploaded.com let me know if you have any tips for SEO.

    You say there is not much written content, is that because you do not know what else to add? Obviously, your best path to increase organic traffic will be to increase the amount of unique, quality content on the site. I would focus on doing that.

    Just taking a quick look at your site I would think that you could write articles about what cloud file hosting is, what makes it better then other options, why your service is better, etc. Sometimes you have to get a little creative, but I am sure you receive lots of questions about your service, so use those as a starting point of what to write about. You can also look at the keyword referrals to your site, if you have analytics installed on it, to try and find ideas for additional content.

    Thank you seems like your the only one who wants to be decently informative instead of "contact me I help", that is a great idea. I tried starting a blog maybe if I actually post useful stuff on there like how to use the service that would help with my content. I was thinking make a screen capture video to show people how to sign up etc. and add subscript to it so it can pick up the word and help my rank.

    Making a video is a great idea, and I would definitely transcribe it on your page so like you said the search engines can index the content. By making the video you also give yourself the chance of ranking in the video results as well, so make sure you do the necessary optimization for your video to increase your chances.
