In my opinion the keyword density should be as important as the meta description.

If you're saying that keyword density is unimportant, I'm in complete agreement. Have seen pages rank well with a phrase on the page only once. And have seen pages rank well with VERY high density -- which means they weren't getting penalized for too much density. Get the phrase in the title and in copy above the fold.

BTW -- I think the meta description is valuable, and has often become ignored. Not for rankings, but Google often displays the meta description in the results. A well written meta description can help your click thru rates.

In my personal experience I believe that keyword density is still relevant, but not to the same extent it was previously. I think your anchor text in your backlinks is probably just as important these days, as well as including words related to your keyword that aren't actually your keyword itself.

It's good to have a low to mid keyword density. I read that 2.0 to 3.1 is good density. You don't want it too high because it would look like keyword stuffing and that doesn't look good to search engines like Google.

I've also found that keyword density is important from my experience. Too much density and it can hurt your site or blog.

You just need enough density to make it clear to the search engines that your title is relevant to your content. A lot of SEO's go for around 4% but there is no actual magic number. Sites with higher authority can get away with higher densities without getting penalised for spam, newer sites should be careful not to appear spammy by over using keywords. At the end of the day the search engines just want to return relevant and quality to their users, create the content with the final user in mind and you'll please both the reader and the search engine. More important than density is to get your keywords/phrases in the title, headers and incoming links (internal & external). These are the most important factors when determining relevance.

In my opinion, your keyword density should be normal. Not more than 2-3 times per 100 words.

Keyword Density is important as Google can penalize your site if KD is more

keyword density is very important but not to exceed a certain number of your

page theme keywords in the body of your content. Most agree that 6% is the

maximum.page theme keywords have little to do with SEO.
