how to benefit from broken links from other sites

Is there a way to benefit from outside links that include typos and hence are broken? Should a 301 redirect be created for each such link? Would a custom 404 error page benefit from the PR of the links?

I do not think that fixing the broken links is an option. Regardless, the question still stands, as new people constantly put in broken links on other sites. So, is there a way to benefit from outside links that are broken? Would a custom 404 page benefit from the PR juice?

As per my knowledge the broken links are not effective for a website. So you need to remove those as soon as possible.
