    Hello Indian Paypal User,

Any Indian Paypal User get above of $ 500 and limited their account,

PayPal will not allow users in India to receive more than US$500.

Starting 1 March, 2011, PayPal customers in India will not be allowed to receive payments for any export-related goods or services for an amount exceeding US$500 per transaction. This change is to ensure that we continue to comply with the RBI Guidelines.

PayPal will not allow Indian users to keep money in PayPal balance.

Starting 1 March, 2011, PayPal customers in India will not be able to keep money in their PayPal account balance. Instead, all money received into a PayPal account must be transferred to a customer’s India bank account within 7 days from the receipt of confirmation from the buyer in respect of the good or services. This change is to ensure that we continue to comply with the RBI Guidelines.

why you don't want to provide your address proof, credit card info, etc.
it's why you get limited from Paypal.
if you are doing legal business online, no idea you reject provide these necessary information to third party.

Receiving Limit is set at $3000 per transaction as said here - https://www.paypal-apac.com/india/

Your account could be limited because of the transaction. Just try to resolve it.

Yes Indian Paypal users cannot receive more than $500 per transaction .The $3000 limit is for those who in exports and imports business .This is the reason why PayPal has asked indian users to choose a purpose code which reflects what kinda business you are doing by which you are receiving or sending out funds or making purchases and sets the proper limit for the same.
I also read that that if suppose you had received a $5000 transfer before and you successfully transfered that amount to your local bank account and also the money from the sender's account has been deducted but PayPal will now do a reverse transaction back to the sender and send him $5000 and then boom you have a negative balance into your PayPal account and how do they intend to recover this is via the new payments you will be receiving.Utter disgusting Indian corrupt politics .

You must have to send the proofs to PayPal to remove the limitation of your account. There is no other way than this.
