A problem with what people see when they Google a keyword related to my site

Okay, so I noticed a problem, and I've search a few things to see what is going on, but I only really started worrying about it today. When you search for "opendismiss" on Google, you see my page as the second link, but not what they should be seeing:

    Untitled.png

As you can see, it does not link to the blog post about OpenDismiss, it links to the homepage of the site, fooling you into thinking it links to the blog post.
Then, below my link, there are pages that mine should be looking like:

    Untitled.png

I want it to be so that if I were to search for "opendismiss" in Google, it'll show me the post for OpenDismiss, and not a link to the site.
Is this even something I should be worrying about?

I am using Wordpress 3.2, and I have All in One SEO.

    My site is: http://www.ios-source.com/

Hopefully someone can help. Thank you.

It is pretty common that once a site gets stronger and if the homepage has some relevance itll place the homepage instead of the internal link.

Obviously you would want people to go to the best page for them to make sure the visitor doesnt bounce.

You can try building more backlinks to the internal page and severing all connections with the homepage.

In my experience this is increasingly common if you link back to your homepage with the keyword from your article page.

So if your article page has anywhere on it that has a anchor link to your homepage with the keyword OpenDismiss you want to remove that link.

    Thats how I fixed it.

As bigmac said you will have to outgain your homepage for that specific keyword. One easy way to do this is to eradicate the keyword from your homepage and meta keywords. bigmac gave you great advice and I highly advise you follow it. You'll get used to this and began to know to continually build new backlinks to your site's inner pages to keep them ranking.

You need to build backlinks to the internal page (the blog post) using as anchor text (the click text in a hyperlink) the keyword(s) and keyword phrase(s) you want that web page to rank for. Write 10 to 15 unique articles relevant to it and submit them in article directories, link to your site using what I previously today you.... rinse and repeat.

On-Page SEO is necessary to do this. Add meta tags and also use some H1 and H2 tags together with <b> for this keyword. Then if you build only a few backlinks to your homepage using the SAME keyword, I am sure this problem will be a "history" :)
