    Using tools are good. It will bring you more backlinks in shorter time. As well you can use spined text and then you wont have same titles, same description in every directory. Which is good IMO. If you do it manually you will spend weeks or even months to do it and you will probably do it wrong.

    But not all tools are good. Specially those public tools. I m now working on one of my directory submission tool, it will submit sites to proper directory and use only free directories. I will sell my services on digitalpoint, but that will be in APP 30 days minimum.

    I strongly advise you to check out Sick Submitter. Once you learn the program you can easily accomplish what you are looking to do as well as having multiple other uses for it too!

    which tools you're using for? by the way you need to go through manual way, even as per my knowledge,directory submission not that much of effective.

    There is obviously not much I can say wrong about this program. It is quick, easy and quite simply fantastic. I do have one question. It seem that Google now likes to see some text when linking to sites. Could the fact that we are just listing a link be a problem?

    Semi Automatic Submissions can be considered for this task...... Auto Submission is not at all recommended.... Your website will be banned from many directories as well as google due to backlinks floods.....

    So be careful.....

    I recommend that you should build backlinks using directory submission MANUALLY! Try to rewrite each title, description to make it unique. After you submit it, it will create an UNIQUE backlink to your website :)

    You should be careful while using some automated tools for submission. To avoid being marked as SPAM, you should keep multiple unique titles and descriptions. However, using such tools for SEO process will come under black/grey hat SEO.

    In my opinion do not use automatic submission tool for directory submission. This kind of software may be save time but not good for your website.It's really harmful for your site.Always do it manually, it will take time but provide you better result then automatic tool.

    I propose not to use one. Google doesn't like bots and automatic submission script and if you use it it may ban your site.

    Do it manually. it takes time but it is far more safe.

    Also, I propose not to submit your site in too many directories, so to build your links naturally and do not get penalized from google.
