    hello directory masters,

    i use to submit my site to multiple directories announced at dp and on others places, may be my got approved may be rejected, but no one mailed me, and its not possible for me to keep a track all of them, so i just want to know why directory owners never mails on approval,

    HI. From the date of submission, it takes 4 to 5 business to approve the link. After approval the user get confirmation mail in the maid id, which he has used during submission. There is a link given, click on the link and use the search button to get the place, where it is posted.

    Ya thats true. You will get approved mail.If you are not getting any mail, then have a check , where the error is occuring.

    Some service providers also offer an EMAIL HANDLING SERVICE, which means creating a separate account for you to track all your mails from directories. Look out for such value added services when signing up with any provider.

    When you submit a website in a directory then you will receive a confirmation mail in your mail box some times these mails got in SPAM folder of mail id. Just you have to confirm your submissions by clicking on the link then if it is fast approval directory then it will get approved. There are many directories which approve listing in 6 months and may be in 1 year.

    never received any mail..even from dmoz.. and one of my site was in dmoz

    You should create your account on mail2web to receive the confirmation link rather than gmail or yahoo. AS it is most pronounced mail check approved by search engines.

    after the span of 4-5 week you can search your domain name in the search results of that website.If they accepted your link will be there :)

    I was told that DMOZ doesn't send e-mails confirming that a site has been added. You would just have to manually check.
