I would like to start a forum like DP.But I am confused with whether I want to start forum in a new domain or I have already a blog www.MoreTricks.com with 2K+ daily visitors , whether I want to start as a subdomain of this blog such as forum.moretricks.com .

    Which will be better?

I would go for a new domain. but since your blog is pretty much webmaster/hosting/IM related, you can go for a subdomain too.

Off topic: With 2K+ UV/day, how did you get an alexa ranking of 66K? I remember, my site with 5-6K+ UV/day had an alexa rank of over 100K :(

I would buy an existing domain that has good traffic and put it under construction, revamp it, then send an e-mail out to all of the members.

I believe you should try installing mybb for your first forum. I think you would like the experience, but if you are looking for vBulletin (what DP uses) then you're going to have to push out a lot of money. Also, I would personally just add a forum to your blog because your traffic will only increase from then on.

As you have a good traffic in your existing website so a sub domain will be a great thing to come up with. That will increase the quality and ranking for both the sites.

I would use the existing site and made a sub-domain with forum. Don't forget you already have 2k visitors per day! If you gonna decide to open new forum it will take months till you will reach that 2k visitors! Use your site to your advantage. Don't think "Ooo I like challenges" so I can start from the very first step. There are many competition for this niche so if you have an advantages over them then simply use it :).

I think the best option is to integrate the forum with the blog - this way all of your visitors will automatically become your forum members. There are pretty good forum integration tools out there, I am not sure though which exactly would fit your needs (depending on the platform you choose for a forum). Another way, if you don't find the right integration solution would be to migrate your blog to WordPress (which I would honestly do asap) and then simly install the forum plugin (like bbPress) that way you will have a site with fully integrated forum. It is also the easiest solution - you could use automated converter, cms2cms for example and it would really be super simple. And I'm sure your blog would look better as well.
